UnDomestic

Writings of a teachermom, choosing to stay home with her kids, while loathing all domestic responsibilities! In late Aug. 2008, I was diagnosed with Triple Negative breast cancer. After surgery, chemo and radiation, I was given theall clear. However, in the late summer of 2008, I was diagnosed with a brain tumor, which metasticized to other areas.

Ladies and Gentelmen...she's done it!!!!

Apparently after my last post about her not walking, Ella decided that she was tired of me introducing her to people as my 17 ½ month old daughter...who still doesn’t walk. That afternoon, she just starting putting one foot in front of the other, as if she had been doing it for weeks.

This is what I imagine her saying in her head: Fine, you win, alright? I can walk. See? What’s the big deal, anyhow? But hey, now that you know I can do this, don’t expect me to let you pick me up. And I don’t care if it’s in a crowded parking lot. And don’t even think I’m going to hold your hand when crossing the street either. And those stairs…yeah, I’ll show you that I can walk down those as well. Are you happy now?

I predict that within a few days, she’ll be running.

My 2 yr olds and your 17 month old are a lot alike, Lilly started to walk at about 15 months, and neither of them want to be in a cart, hold hands or anything, well at least they don't want to for me...............BUT..........when they are with Kimberly they are GREAT! Go figure---UT What would we do with out them

She's known all this time...you know she has! She's just got a bit of a stubborn streak.
