UnDomestic

Writings of a teachermom, choosing to stay home with her kids, while loathing all domestic responsibilities! In late Aug. 2008, I was diagnosed with Triple Negative breast cancer. After surgery, chemo and radiation, I was given theall clear. However, in the late summer of 2008, I was diagnosed with a brain tumor, which metasticized to other areas.

Walk for the Cure

Yesterday was the Race for the Cure. My Aunt Kathy, who is at the back of this photo, had all these shirts made for the approx. 20 people who walked for me. This is mostly my dad's side of the family. In this photo you'll see more of my mom's side of the family.
I am so thankful to everyone for their efforts.

Yesterday was a great Mother's Day. I was able to get to church and go out to breakfast. Then my husband grilled me some great BBQ chicken. My husband also bought my mom and I "The Bullet." I just had a smoothie from it this morning, and it seemed to work well.

I have an MRI today and tomorrow.

We did this yesterday too. It was fun, but busy. Glad you had a wonderful Mother's Day.

Glad you had a great Mother's Day.

My smoothie maker just broke so I purchased something similar to the bullet. I've only made one smoothie in it, but both the kids and Mel said it was best smoothie I ever made. It doesn't do frozen fruit as well as my other one, but it's much more convenient and easier to clean.

Praying for good results from your MRI's.

Cocktails for Cari. That made me lol.

Maybe I should get the Bullet. My family decided to postpone Mother's Day for a week.

Keep running that race Cari! There is always HOPE in JESUS!!! I had another MRI today, too. Even with all that noise around me I was able to spend that time praying!

Hang in there kiddo!!
