UnDomestic

Writings of a teachermom, choosing to stay home with her kids, while loathing all domestic responsibilities! In late Aug. 2008, I was diagnosed with Triple Negative breast cancer. After surgery, chemo and radiation, I was given theall clear. However, in the late summer of 2008, I was diagnosed with a brain tumor, which metasticized to other areas.

Home at last

I'm finally back home. Thank you everyone for all your prayers. As my mom alluded to, my experience before surgery was horrible, but once it was done, everything went very well. I had a wonderful nurse who took very good care of me throughout the night and gave me a little book by Dodie Osteen titled Healed of Cancer. God definitely had me in good hands. I'm going to get some rest now and hopefully get a chance to write more about my experience tomorrow.

For I will restore health to you and heal you of your wounds.

You amaze me - each and every day. I think of you - and make sure, in part because of you, that I make everything of all my moments.

Was worried with all this blood transfusion crap that perhaps you are really sick - sounds weird, but blood transfusions just seem a bit out of the blue.

What do I know about this medical stuff!

Glad you are home.

I'm so glad you're home and things went better after your long day. God answered prayers by holding you in His arms last night.

Praying you have a good weekend.

Praise God - He is good! I love your believing - you really are an inspiration to me! Continually praying for you, making intercession for you. Watching the NYC marathon and thinking the about the runs we've done (not together, because you're so much faster than me, and probably still are!) and thinking about the next run we'll do together (sort of, again, I'll be behind you, lol!). Much love from our household and members of our ministry who have been following and praying for your complete healing!

Romans 8:26-27 "Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God."

I am SO GLAD that you were blessed with the book by Dodie Osteen. I was talking about your journey and how your faith in God has grown and she alluded to Dodie. I told her (the lady at my church) that you are walking miracle and testimony of God's power and love.

I read the follow passage and immediately thought of you:

"Pushed to the wall, I called to God;
from the wide open spaces, he answered.
God's now at my side and I'm not afraid;
who would dare lay a hand on me?
God's my strong champion;
I flick off my enemies like flies.
Far better to take refuge in God
than trust in people;
Far better to take refuge in God
than trust in celebrities.
Hemmed in by barbarians,
in God's name I rubbed their faces in the dirt;
Hemmed in and with no way out,
in God's name I rubbed their faces in the dirt;
Like swarming bees, like wild prairie fire, they hemmed me in;
in God's name I rubbed their faces in the dirt.
I was right on the cliff-edge, ready to fall,
when God grabbed and held me.
God's my strength, he's also my song,
and now he's my salvation.
Hear the shouts, hear the triumph songs
in the camp of the saved?
"The hand of God has turned the tide!
The hand of God is raised in victory!
The hand of God has turned the tide!"

17-20 I didn't die. I lived!
And now I'm telling the world what God did.
God tested me, he pushed me hard,
but he didn't hand me over to Death.
Swing wide the city gates—the righteous gates!
I'll walk right through and thank God!
This Temple Gate belongs to God,
so the victors can enter and praise."

Psalm 118: 5-20 The Message

Continue to walk by faith and not by sight! 2 Cor 5:7

We love you :~D
