UnDomestic

Writings of a teachermom, choosing to stay home with her kids, while loathing all domestic responsibilities! In late Aug. 2008, I was diagnosed with Triple Negative breast cancer. After surgery, chemo and radiation, I was given theall clear. However, in the late summer of 2008, I was diagnosed with a brain tumor, which metasticized to other areas.

Hello...my name is trouble.

Ella has been quite naughty lately. If she sneaks away while I'm focusing on something else, she's into nothing but trouble.

Yesterday while she was supposed to be "napping," she discovered a 2 inch hole in one of her stuffed animals. She proceeded to take out the stuffing spreading it in her crib. But then she also decided to shove some up her nose. Sara found a huge piece that she crammed up there. I guess she was just trying to find a solution to her runny nose.

Last night, as I was watching Kid Nation with Cameron, she went into the kitchen, crawled up on the counter, and despite all the envelopes, catalogs, and papers lying on the counter, she decided to color all over her feet with a pen.

And then tonight, when I thought she was in the basement playing with Max, she was actually upstairs, feeding the fish.

The terrible twos, two weeks early.

I have been religiously reading your blog lately! I just wanted to let you know that I admire your strength and I will continue to pray for you. That photo of Ella reminds me of one of my photos when I was about her age. But I went a step further and colored both of my legs!
Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Deanna

Oh Cari! I can feel your pain. Felicity is already giving me a RUN!!!! She is only 17 months and into everything and climbing to the top of everything. She is more work than the boys were at this age! I cannot take my eye off of her or she is into something. There is no time to get anything done when chasing a trouble maker! She, too, will color on her hands and feet with pens and markers.

I am amazed! Ella seemed so quiet at the wedding. Of course, that could have been because she was surrounded by 300 loud people that she had never seen before in her life.

How do children think of these things? I am glad that NyCee is not doing such things. Although she did color on my parent's kitchen floor with a blue crayon and her grandmother thought it was cute. I didn't as I had to scrub the floors to get it up!

Well, maybe since Ella is getting it out of her system now, when she turns two, she will be more reserved.

Ahhh, thanks Deanna. I hope my blog is a break from all your studying!!!! Good luck with finals.

fantastic four -- When Max is playing with her, she is fine. But when she's bored, oh does she find trouble!

Dayna -- I've noticed lately that when around people she's not familiar with, she's much more reserved...but then you give her a day and she's her normal entergetic, troublesome self!

Hee hee hee hee..:) Logan turned 2 in September. He started the terrible two's around 18 months. His latests "creative interest" is emptying the boxes of wipes all over his room. Aren't we done with this phase yet?

Deckie and Ella should never meet - the house wouldn't survive. The 2s are wonderful but a bit tough on the nerves. I was so certain Deckie would be able to unlock the cabin door on the ship and climb outside on the verandah so we never went out!

Yeah on finishing chemo - I don't know what the next step is (thankfully, don't really understand your treatment).
