UnDomestic

Writings of a teachermom, choosing to stay home with her kids, while loathing all domestic responsibilities! In late Aug. 2008, I was diagnosed with Triple Negative breast cancer. After surgery, chemo and radiation, I was given theall clear. However, in the late summer of 2008, I was diagnosed with a brain tumor, which metasticized to other areas.

It's all good!

I called the Oncologist today and spoke to her nurse.

I'm free and clear of cancer!

YEAH!!!!!

To celebrate I ran 3 miles...without stopping...the longest I've gone nonstop since starting all my treatment.

And now I'm going to have dinner with my friend Andrea.

So the big pressing question right now is....

What drink should I have to celebrate?

I'm thinking a creamy chocolate martini! Mmmmmmm!

YEA!!!!
I'm partial to mojiotos for celebrations (spelling?) but there is a new champagne cocktail I've been wanting to try- sounds more like a celebration drink too- whatever, I would think multiple drinks would be in order :)

WHOOOO HOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!! As someone who has never met you, please know how grateful and humbled I am that you shared this journey on your blog. You are such a wonderful woman, and I was sad when I initially read your diagnosis. Now, I am so very very very happy for you and your family for having conquered the cancer with such grace, humor, and honesty.

You sooo deserve that drink!!

Congrats Cari (gosh I hope I am spelling your name right)!

I am a good bottle of red wine girl so I would have stuck to that one.

I agree with Mi (whom I do know IRL, despite being a CA girl!) - I appreciate you have shared your story - it is been a great grounding for me.
